Application of resin for anticorrosive paints
- Advantages
- 1.It dries rapidly 2.It is highly adhesive 3.It is of good technology and unlikely to be influenced by environment
- Disadvantages
- 1.It does not have excellent heat resistance 2.It has poor corrosion resistance at high temperature 3.It has poor alkali resistance
- For anti-corrosion paints, recommendations are 389-9, 1360, 3256, 3850 and CY-60, etc., satisfying demands of different varieties of paints
- Common Problems during Application
- After being made into paint and stored at high temperature and exposed to oxygen, it is likely to cause skinning for it is drying-oil-modified; therefore, take care of storage environment and add anti-skinning agent. When the paint has not completely dried, excessive solvent in paint coating may cause lifting.
